MACHINE ADVISORY COMMITTEE
The period of membership is three years, with a one time renewal possible. The MAC has up to ten members, with the possibility to temporarily appoint additional experts if necessary for the review of special topics or projects.
The MAC presents its reports to the Scientific Council.

Always, the DESY MAC meets first, on the second day is the Joint Session with the XFEL MAC followed by the session of report writing. After the DESY MAC close-out on the second day, the XFeL MAC continues on that and the following day.
